FAQs – Bounce House and Carnival Ride Rentals
The Train Quest is committed to providing you with safe and effective bounce house and carnival ride rentals. We are experts at party rentals in Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown and other areas in Texas, so if you have any questions that aren't answered in our FAQs page, then please feel free to contact us.
Where can bounce houses be set up?
Bounce houses and inflatable slides must be set up on a flat surface. There must be enough space for the bounce house, as well as a few feet surrounding it. We can set up bounce houses and moonwalks on asphalt, grass, cement and other locations. We use stakes and pegs to secure bounce houses on grass and soil, and sandbags for hard-standing venues.
Please ensure that the intended area of the bounce house is clear of obstructions and mess.
Where can carnival rides be set up?
Carnival rides also require a flat surface that is free of obstacles. Some of our rides and games may have specific requirements – we will let you know of these well in advance of your event.
Can bounce houses or carnival rides be used in poor weather?
Although bounce houses moonwalks and carnival rides can be used in heavy rain – although they may become slippery – they should not be used in strong winds. We will be in touch with you if you are hosting an outdoor event and we feel that it is not possible to safely provide you with the products you have ordered.
Do I need access to electricity?
Our fans, blowers and electronic equipment require the standard household electricity supply. If this will be an issue, please let us know and we will come up with a solution. This may involve extension cables or a generator.
Where do you deliver to?
We deliver party supplies in Austin and other nearby cities such as Killeen, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and more. You can also choose us for events in regions such as:

Do you do last-minute orders?
We can help you out at the last minute. Our website permits online reservations at any time up to to days before the date of your event – if you need to make an order later than this, then please speak with us directly.
When must payment be made?
A 50% deposit is required to reserve the equipment. Full payment must be made on the day of the event.
Do I have to pay a cleaning charge?
We do not ask for a cleaning charge after normal use. However, if the inflatable or carnival games are returned in an unacceptable condition, a cleaning charge will be imposed. We will determine the value of the cleaning charge within five days and will send over an invoice. Payment must be received within 14 days.
Do I have to pay for normal wear and tear?
We expect our inflatables to experience normal wear and tear during regular use, and we would not charge you for this. An example of normal wear and tear would be loose stitching after continual use. However, if there is any damage that is caused by negligence or maliciousness, such as vandalism, if the blower is left on in heavy wind, or if the warm generator comes into contact with the inflatable leading to melting or warping of the materials, then you will be liable to pay repair costs.
How do I make a reservation online?
To make your reservation, simply look through our website to find a product that you are interested in, and then click the green or red buttons to start the process. Our system will determine if the product you have chosen is available on the dates you select. You can then add additional items that are also available on your event dates to your order.
What's included in my order?
We provide a comprehensive service at The Train Quest. We set up our bounce houses, inflatables, concession machines, carnival rides and party games for you, we deliver them to your venue, we perform de-rigging, and we collect everything at the end of the event. Please let us know if you require any additional services.
How long can I rent your products for?
Typically, people only rent our party supplies for one or two days. However, we are happy to discuss long-term rental options. Please speak with us for more information.
What if I need to cancel? What if you cancel on me?
We offer rain-checks and rescheduling when you cancel within three days of your event date in cases such as bad weather. In some situations, we will offer rescheduling for orders cancelled at even later stages. We will contact you if we need to cancel due to poor weather or staff illness. Rain-checks and rescheduling is not available if the products you have ordered are already loaded on to the van, are out for delivery, or are installed at your event.
Is there any health and safety information available?
Please check out our safety guide to read some important information about bounce house, water slide and carnival ride rentals. If there is any extra information that we think you will need, we will inform you fully in advance of your event. Our delivery and installation team are inflatable health and safety specialists, so they will also be happy to give you advice on the date of your event.
Inflatables, carnival rides and all of our other party supplies are safety tested annually.
Do you have insurance?
We have $2 million in public liability insurance, overseen by the Texas Department of Insurance.
